Properties of the product

MetaRiz™ is designed to control soil pests and improve soil health.

Metarhizium anisopliae is an entomopathogenic fungus that grows in the soil and infects larvae and adults of pests. At the same time, it parasitizes pests and causes disease (mycosis), resulting in death. The most vulnerable pests with a chitinous coating are: mole cricket, wireworm, May beetle larvae, diabrotica, scoop larvae, and the Colorado potato beetle.

Trichoderma suppresses the development of phytopathogens by direct parasitization, competition for substrate, release of enzymes, antibiotics (gliotoxin, viridin, trichodermin, etc.) and other biologically active substances that inhibit the development and reproduction of many types of pathogens. In the soil, the fungus develops on various plant residues rich in cellulose, on the mycelium of fruiting bodies of phytopathogens.

Mechanism of action of the MetaRiz:

Upon contact with the body of a pest, spores of the Metharhizium germinate within 10-12 hours and affect the nervous system, respiratory organs, intestinal tract and muscle tissue. The pest is paralyzed and dies completely after a few days.

Trichoderma effectively reduces the number of pathogens in the soil through direct parasitism and competition for the nutrient environment. Also, thanks to its mycorrhizal properties, trichoderma promotes better growth of the root system and plant nutrition.

An important condition for the effective operation of the MetaRiz™ is the presence of moisture. In dry soil, the effectiveness of the product is significantly reduced.

Features of use:

• MetaRiz™ is applied by spraying the soil, with irrigation water or drip irrigation. It is also possible to apply by mixing with sand/steamed grain and spreading over the area with further work into the soil
• Soil spraying is carried out in autumn and spring, it is best during the rainy season
• Spraying is recommended to be carried out during the day from 18:00 to 10:00
• After spraying the soil, it is necessary to immediately apply the preparation by digging, harrowing, disking, cultivation or plowing
  Application of the MetaRiz™ through drip irrigation is carried out during the entire growing season of the culture
• Annual use of the MetaRiz contributes to a significant reduction of soil pests and improvement of the phytosanitary condition of the soil.
  IMPORTANTLY! Do not use simultaneously with chemical fungicides and fumigants.
